I can’t wait to photograph you!

While I specialize in honest portraiture of individuals in various states of dress or undress, many of my clients choose to do their shoot or part of it with someone they love (yes, furry friends of the canine variety are welcome). Most of my clients choose to focus their shoot on one of the following styles or do a combination: personal branding, boudoir, raw portraits (AS I AM), and fine art nude. As of 2025, I now also offer couples boudoir.
Will I photograph your jewelry brand, extended family, or grandma? Sure thing!
Note about headshots: if you want a single generic headshot, I'm probably not the photographer for you. The professionals I work with tend to need multiple images to represent their brand on social media, websites, print media, and online networking.

Wall art starts at $995, Collections (including session and images) start at $2200, and on average my clients spend $3000-4000 on their experience.
Collections are the best value, and we do have financing available.
-
Of course! In my experience this is the best way to get a headshot done - when you’re warmed up, having fun, and feeling empowered and free.

Yes. All genders and identities are welcome and celebrated in front of my lens. No matter who you are, you are safe with me. And I think you’re magnificent.

We have two beautiful Studios: one in downtown Joplin, Missouri, and our newest in the Power & Light district of downtown Kansas City, Missouri. We also have a portable set up, which makes on location and destination shoots possible. Please reach out for a custom quote on a destination or on location photo shoot.

Plan on half a day. You don't want to be rushed beforehand or watching the clock during with plans scheduled immediately after. Most of my clients block out the whole day so they have time to pamper themselves before the shoot and then reflect on their experience afterward.
-
My photo shoot planning guides have outfit examples that will show you exactly what to bring. I do have studio wardrobe available at both locations that work well for raw portraits, boudoir, and fine art nude. Even if you show up with your everyday outfit, we will have a great shoot.

I offer of a variety of top quality heirlooms so you can enjoy and cherish your images for years to come. From my handmade Italian leather story books to custom framed wall portraits I'll make recommendations so you have pieces in your home that you will look at every day and feel joy. I also prioritize the quality of the materials because I know that the portraits will outlive you.
-
Depending on your type of shoot and schedule, we will either review your photos and make selections immediately after the photo shoot or one to two weeks later (either in person or remotely). In every case, my years of experience in culling and curating image collections will help this process go quickly and smoothly.

Since I offer digital collections, and since my printed products include their corresponding digital files, yes, you may print your photos up to size 8 x 10. I've made it easy through the online gallery that will also deliver your digital download. This way I can guarantee that the prints you order (basically at cost) through my online gallery will be of excellent quality and correct color. It also means you don't have to decide every copy of every 5x7 you will want at the time of your Portrait selection. My clients love that they can place orders for small prints up to a year after their session.
-
Absolutely. I love when my clients share about their experience and probably show off their portraits.
-
Not unless you say I can, and it isn’t “all or nothing.” The photos I will potentially use on my social media, website, and in sample products will be A) photos you liked and B) photos that you said I could potentially publish at the time of your Portrait selection. Again, I want my clients to feel safe and free when they work with me. I take your privacy and consent very seriously.

Not automatically, though they are available to add on.
Joplin studio: I have a team of hair and makeup professionals who I can book for you and have come to the studio if you choose to add hair and make up to your shoot ($350 for hair and makeup).
Kansas City studio: there are several lovely blow dry and makeup bars within two blocks of the studio. They offer online booking and I will give you their info so you can check out and book this service on your own if you wish. (Even if you don’t want your makeup done, a blow out the day before or the morning of your shoot always feels great!)
-
Of course! Many of my first time clients can't imagine loving more than 10 photos of themselves and then end up purchasing dozens. My Signature Package is the best value and it's the one I hope people will book if they want the true “Mitzi” experience.
-
Years of google reviews, emails, texts, and messages all have this in common: I make people feel comfortable exactly as they are.
