“It was my second time working with Mitzi so I was comfortable getting photographed, but it took me a minute to let my guard down and stop trying to influence the outcome of the photos when the goal was just to be myself. I feel these photos really captured many sides of me; pure joy, determination, silliness, seriousness, softness, vulnerability. It feels good to become comfortable with yourself and find confidence that maybe others perceived but you had a hard time recognizing yourself. These photos make me feel confident and proud and I’m so glad to have gotten the chance to embrace myself and this moment in my skin. Thank you Mitzi.” - Ellen
